RSW are seeking a skilled Aluminium Welder to join a manufacturing team in Chepstow. The ideal candidate will have experience in TIG welding and a strong understanding of aluminium fabrication processes. This role involves working with sheet metal and various power tools to produce high-quality aluminium components. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Perform TIG welding on aluminium components, ensuring precise and clean welds according to technical specifications
• Fabricate aluminium structures using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Work with sheet metal to cut, shape, and assemble parts for various projects
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues
• Assist in the assembly of aluminium products, ensuring adherence to quality standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations
• Read technical drawings and use basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes

Qualifications

• Proven experience in TIG welding, specifically with aluminium
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Strong understanding of fabrication techniques involving sheet metal and assembly processes
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a team or independently
• Knowledge of health and safety practices related to welding and fabrication environments
