Job Description:
Key tasks :
Day to day operation of CNC Machining centre for Aluminium Processing, utilizing existing programmes within equipment.
Programming machining centre for new product variants.
Manual milling and drilling.
Maintain Machine Centre, to daily/weekly maintenance plan.
Completing real time bookings of work performed in the Production Control system.
Identifying and prioritizing the schedule of work within the Aluminium processing area to ensure production schedule is completed on time.
Performing weekly stock control counts within processing area.
Control and management of tooling consumables, ensuring zero production stoppages due to tooling availability whilst ensuring production consumable costs are kept to a minimum.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the processing area.
Key skills required :
Previous experience of CNC machine settings.
Previous experience of machining extruded Aluminium products.
Candidates must also possess a good understanding of general machining practices and be competent at reading and understanding engineering drawings.
Monday - Friday 0800 - 1600 hours
