MECHANICAL FITTER – Accommodation & Travel Provided
Cumbria | Permanent Role | £60,000 – £75,000 DOE

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team, working within asphalt, concrete plants, and quarry environments.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong knowledge of asphalt plant maintenance (drum & batch plants)
• Experience with concrete plants (dry & wet batch)
• Understanding of pneumatic systems (rams, solenoids, etc.)
• Hands-on mechanical experience (bearings, rollers, drums, valves, gates)
• Competent with industry hand tools
• Ability to MMA weld on-site
• Experience conducting plant inspections & reporting defects
• Able to manage workload, timelines, and work independently
• Knowledge of H&S documentation (risk assessments, method statements)
• Full UK driving licence required

Desirable:

• Confined Space certification
• Mobile Plant operation (MEWP, Telehandler, FEL)
• First Aid

Working Pattern:

• 12-hour shifts
• 12 days on / 2 days off
• Flexibility required (including weekends)
• Competitive salary (£65K–£80K DOE)
• Travel & accommodation provided (if based outside the area)
