RSW are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinists to join a clients manufacturing team in Bridgend. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating sewing machines to produce high-quality textile products in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and previous experience in sewing or warehouse operations. The position is paid and suitable for those looking to develop their skills within the textile industry.

Duties

• Operate various types of sewing machines to assemble and finish products according to specifications.
• Ensure all garments and textiles meet quality standards by inspecting finished work.
• Follow detailed work instructions and production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
• Assist in inventory management by organising materials and supplies efficiently.
• Report any machine malfunctions or quality issues promptly to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve production processes.

Experience

• Previous experience in sewing or textile manufacturing is preferred.
• Warehouse experience is advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with inventory handling and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in operating sewing machines, with a good understanding of different fabrics and stitching techniques.
