RSW are working with their client based in Bridgend who are looking to recruit a Purchaser/ buyer on a temporary basis. The position is an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
Placing daily purchasing orders in line with MRP requirements to meet on-time
in full-needs.
Working with stakeholders on direct purchases, converting inventory requests and production schedules into purchase requisitions and orders.
Negotiating with suppliers best pricing, and stocking agreements driving down cost where possible.
Monitoring and tracking of raw materials prices.
Sourcing new suppliers/products locally and internationally, working with R & D on new product introduction.
Producing monthly purchasing reports, including OTD, PPV & PO placed on time
Supplier management including open order books, weekly supplier meeting with top 10 suppliers to ensure risk and opportunities are identified and escalated as required.
Seek out international alternative supplier routes, providing innovative solutions to reducing costs.
Management of procurement masterdata on D365 MRP system
Attendance of daily production meeting, representing purchasing and communicating to the relevant stakeholders of any risk of deliveries and updates on current shortages.
Experience of shipping goods nationally and internationally (desirable)
Person Specification:
Relevant educational/professional experience
Previous experience working in a purchasing function within a busy organisation.
Computer literate including Microsoft office.
Experience of using ERP / MRP systems.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Negotiation skills

Experience with our MRP / ERP system.
