Accounts & Payroll Assistant
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join our team. You’ll play a key role in processing weekly payrolls for both temporary and internal staff, and support our Accounts & Payroll Manager with day-to-day finance tasks.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Input hours and rates into our recruitment software to run weekly payroll
- Check timesheets and resolve any pay queries with consultants and temps
- Set up new starters and maintain digital employee records
- Process holiday pay and issue P45s when needed
- Run payroll reports and submit data to HMRC and pension provider
- Make payments via online banking to staff, HMRC, DWP, and other third parties
- Support with year-end payroll tasks and liaise with other departments when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience using Sage Payroll (or similar) and a good grasp of PAYE
- Confident with data entry and handling high-volume weekly payrolls
- Comfortable using Outlook, Excel, and Word
- A clear communicator with a calm, can-do attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Location: Cwmbran
Hours: Part-time (Mon–Thurs, 8:30am–4:30pm)
