Overview
We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor specialising in TIG welding to oversee and coordinate welding operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of TIG welding processes, and a solid understanding of fabrication and sheet metal work. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team of skilled welders, ensure quality standards are met, and optimise production efficiency. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining safety protocols, supervising daily operations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

We are currently recruiting a Blue Hat Supervisor with Welding / Fabrication background to join our team at Hinkley Point. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects.

All candidates must be willing to undertake trade tests and pass and security checks for onboarding. The college is a 6” stainless steel butt weld in the PH position with theory test and Avonmouth is a 2” stainless steel butt weld in the 6G/H-LO45 and a 3” pipe to plate in the PH position.

Pay & Benefits
£30.57 p/h (Days) 22.5% nights premium £37.45
OT 1.4 for hours worked over 38 during the week and the first 4 hours on Saturday
OT 1.8 for remaining hours on Saturday and all hours Sunday
Rotation: 10 days on / 4 days off
10.5hrs days
Accommodation allowance: £355.67 per week

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Welding / Fabrication (essential)
